Halogen bulbs and their Vinaco LED stand-ins
Three of our halogen bulbs have an LED with the same base and shape. The table shows what changes when you switch.
| Halogen | Watts and lumens | LED | Watts and lumens | LED rated life | LED dims |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vinaco GU10 Halogen | 50W, 500 lm | Vinaco GU10 LED | 5W, 450 lm | 30,000 h | No |
| Vinaco MR16 Halogen | 50W, 800 lm | Vinaco MR16 LED | 7W, 450 lm | 30,000 h | No |
| Vinaco PAR38 Halogen | 80W, 1,500 lm | Vinaco PAR38 LED | 15W, 1,300 lm | 30,000 h | Yes |
LED figures are the maker's ratings. The LED versions of GU10 and MR16 do not dim, and none of them will run a candle warmer.

What buyers say about Vinaco bulbs
Reviews word for word, with the critical ones left in.
They don't last long but they work
This was my second pack of these bulbs for track lighting. I only had two from the first batch last beyond 8 months with modest use. I'm hoping for better with this batch but at the price they are not too bad and nice form factor. You have to use the suction cup to replace them because they way they go in is a challenge if you don't use the suction cup. Also make sure they are completely cooled down before trying to replace as they get hot and can take a while to cool down even after they blow.
"Reliable G4 Halogen Bulbs for Various Uses"
I purchased these G4 halogen bulbs for my project, and they've been great so far. The 10-pack is a good value, and the bulbs are bright and provide consistent light. The 12V, 10W rating is perfect for my needs, and installation was straightforward. I've used a few already with no issues, and I'm happy with the overall performance. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is that they do run a bit hotter than expected, but that's typical with halogen bulbs. Still, I would definitely recommend them!
Beautiful glow
This light gives a warm light to any setting with the same brightness as an incandescent bulb from the last century. It takes the worry out of excessive power use and lets one go happily into the evening hours with sheer joy!
About Vinaco
- 24bulbs in the Vinaco catalog
- 8base types, from G4 to E26
- 13 + 11halogen and LED lines

More than twenty years of small bulbs
Vinaco has been in the lighting trade for more than twenty years. The line began with small halogen bulbs, the kind people hunt for when a candle warmer or a range hood goes dark. Those bulbs are easy to get wrong. A GU10 and an MR16 look the same from the front and will not fit each other's sockets. So from the start our packs carried the base and the voltage in plain letters, and this catalog follows the same habit.

A catalog built around the socket
A lamp or a fixture is made for one base, one voltage and a top wattage. That is why the Vinaco range is sorted by base first: twist-lock GU10, two-pin GU5.3, the looped G9, the straight-pin G8 and G4, and the screw bases E26, E12 and E11. Inside each group you choose the wattage, the color of white and the pack. We list the size of every bulb in inches, since a bulb that fits the socket can still be too long for the shade.

Halogen where it still earns its place
Halogen has not gone away, and for good reasons. It dims on any old dimmer, shows colors as they are and makes heat, which a wax warmer needs. Our halogen bulbs cover those jobs. Next to them sits a growing LED line for fixtures that burn for hours: filament bulbs in clear and amber glass, milk-glass globes for vanity bars, and LED versions of the GU10, MR16 and PAR38. Where an LED cannot do what the halogen does, the page says so.

How to read a Vinaco page
Every bulb page opens with the three facts a socket cares about: base, voltage and wattage. Under them you find the light output in lumens, the color in kelvin and the size in inches. A drawing shows the base with its pin spacing, so you can hold your old bulb next to the screen. Each pack lists its price and the price of one bulb, since a box of ten is often the cheaper way to buy. Reviews from buyers follow, word for word.

Straight talk about limits
A bulb page should tell you when to pick something else. Our PAR38 halogen is rated for 2,000 hours, so we point dusk-to-dawn fixtures to the LED. The GU10 LED cannot melt a candle, and its page says so in the second paragraph. A 100 watt flood is too much for many cans, and we say that next to the pack. You will find notes like these on every Vinaco product, along with a short list of things to check before you buy.

What else carries the Vinaco name
Light is the center of the brand, and a few everyday goods share the name. There are pull chains that bring a ceiling fan's switches within reach, two rattan lamps that plug into a wall outlet, tubs of paper clips in two sizes and wide steel straws for smoothies. They have their own aisle here, with the same plain facts on every card: size, count and price. Buyers rate several of them higher than any bulb we list.

Vinaco questions
Where do I buy Vinaco bulbs?
Each product page has a button that takes you to our retail partner, where you check out. Payment, delivery and returns happen there, and the price at checkout is the one that counts.
How do I find the right Vinaco bulb for my fixture?
Take out the old bulb and look at the base. Then read the voltage and the top wattage on the fixture's label. Our bulb finder shows each base as a drawing and leads to the bulbs that fit it.
What is the difference between GU10 and MR16?
MR16 is a shape, a reflector 2 in across. GU10 is a base with two short pins that twist and lock, for 120V. The 12V MR16 has a GU5.3 base with two thin straight pins. They do not swap.
Can an LED bulb replace a halogen in a candle warmer?
No. A candle warmer lamp melts wax with the heat of a halogen beam. An LED GU10 gives light with little heat, so the wax stays hard.
