About Vinaco
More than twenty years of small bulbs
Vinaco has been in the lighting trade for more than twenty years. The line began with small halogen bulbs, the kind people hunt for when a candle warmer or a range hood goes dark. Those bulbs are easy to get wrong. A GU10 and an MR16 look the same from the front and will not fit each other's sockets. So from the start our packs carried the base and the voltage in plain letters, and this catalog follows the same habit.

A catalog built around the socket
A lamp or a fixture is made for one base, one voltage and a top wattage. That is why the Vinaco range is sorted by base first: twist-lock GU10, two-pin GU5.3, the looped G9, the straight-pin G8 and G4, and the screw bases E26, E12 and E11. Inside each group you choose the wattage, the color of white and the pack. We list the size of every bulb in inches, since a bulb that fits the socket can still be too long for the shade.

Halogen where it still earns its place
Halogen has not gone away, and for good reasons. It dims on any old dimmer, shows colors as they are and makes heat, which a wax warmer needs. Our halogen bulbs cover those jobs. Next to them sits a growing LED line for fixtures that burn for hours: filament bulbs in clear and amber glass, milk-glass globes for vanity bars, and LED versions of the GU10, MR16 and PAR38. Where an LED cannot do what the halogen does, the page says so.

How to read a Vinaco page
Every bulb page opens with the three facts a socket cares about: base, voltage and wattage. Under them you find the light output in lumens, the color in kelvin and the size in inches. A drawing shows the base with its pin spacing, so you can hold your old bulb next to the screen. Each pack lists its price and the price of one bulb, since a box of ten is often the cheaper way to buy. Reviews from buyers follow, word for word.

Straight talk about limits
A bulb page should tell you when to pick something else. Our PAR38 halogen is rated for 2,000 hours, so we point dusk-to-dawn fixtures to the LED. The GU10 LED cannot melt a candle, and its page says so in the second paragraph. A 100 watt flood is too much for many cans, and we say that next to the pack. You will find notes like these on every Vinaco product, along with a short list of things to check before you buy.

What else carries the Vinaco name
Light is the center of the brand, and a few everyday goods share the name. There are pull chains that bring a ceiling fan's switches within reach, two rattan lamps that plug into a wall outlet, tubs of paper clips in two sizes and wide steel straws for smoothies. They have their own aisle here, with the same plain facts on every card: size, count and price. Buyers rate several of them higher than any bulb we list.
